Ferrari and Puma Are Dropping the Perfect Sneaker for Formula 1 Obsessives

Last month, Lewis Hamilton made waves at the Bahrain International Circuit by stepping out in the ultra-premium Ferrari x Puma Speedcat Pro—a professional-grade racing shoe priced at a hefty $450. While undeniably sleek, this high-performance footwear is designed more for the track than for everyday wear.

Fast forward to today, and Puma has just unveiled a sneaker that’s much more accessible for fans and sneakerheads alike. Introducing the Ferrari x Puma Speedcat OG ‘Miami’, a stylish, street-ready silhouette dropping just in time for the highly anticipated Miami Grand Prix next month.

A Fresh Take on a Classic Racer

Unlike its suede predecessors, this limited-edition Speedcat OG features a full leather construction, completely drenched in a crisp white finish. The signature Puma Big Cat logo is subtly debossed across the lateral toe, while Ferrari’s iconic Prancing Horse proudly adorns the heel.

The sneaker’s tire-inspired translucent rubber midsole stays true to the Speedcat’s motorsport roots, and inside, vibrant pink and blue accents pay homage to the neon-lit streets of Miami’s South Beach.

Ferrari x Puma’s Explosive Growth

Since Lewis Hamilton’s move to Team Ferrari, Puma’s Ferrari-branded merchandise has seen a staggering 800% increase in sales, according to a report by SportBusiness. With the Speedcat OG ‘Miami’ set to release on April 28 at Puma and select retailers worldwide, this surge in demand is only expected to accelerate.

Even more exciting? Rumors suggest that three additional colorways are already in the pipeline. So if you’re a fan of Ferrari and Puma’s high-octane collaborations, there’s plenty more to look forward to in the coming months.
